On the morning of April 13th, at the National Economics University, a meet & greet and sharing session was held with the topic - "The career story of final-year students – Working for passion or a financially ensured future." This event was a part of the Talent Generation program initiated by the UNESCO Center for Culture and Education - UNESCO-CEP, along with Techcombank as a strategic partner. The event has attracted more than 800 students with the participation of MC Phan Anh and representatives of Techcombank - Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Director of Region 5, Sales and Distribution Division.
At the beginning of the session, MC Phan Anh has talked about his decision when choosing between following passion and working to ensure his financial status. He said that he had had a stable job for the state that many people dreamed of. However, he decided to give it up and pursue his dream of becoming an Editor - a profession that he had never been well trained in any institutions. And up until now, it can be said that he had the right decision and succeeded with it, which is choosing a job based on his passion.
Referring to the issue of "How to pursue your own dream job", most students considered experience to be the most important factor. In a different perspective, Mr. Tran Viet Hung - Director of Techcombank’s Region 5, Sales and Distribution Division shared: “From the view of employers, attitude is the most important, then followed by skills and lastly, experience. Moreover, make a specific plan of what you are going to do and what you will contribute or creating success on the way to conquer your career. ”
At the end of the sharing session, with the message of "Raising Vietnamese Intelligence and Boosting Vietnamese Brands", the UNESCO Center for Culture and Education - UNESCO-CEP joining forces with Techcombank to provide 10 scholarships with the worth of 1 million VND each for the students gaining excellent academic achievements of the National Economics University. In 2018, Techcombank will go to 14 universities across the country to award scholarships for students, with the mission of cultivating young Vietnamese minds.
The Unitour events, a part of the Talent Generation 2018 program organized by the UNESCO Center for Culture and Education - UNESCO-CEP collaborating with Techcombank is the journey reaching to students from Universities in 6 big provinces across the country to spread the message: "Raising Vietnamese Intelligence and Boosting Vietnamese Brands ".
The Unitour series includes many events such as Talk show, Training workshop, Career fair… with the participation of speakers, celebrities, social influencers, giving students valuable knowledge and useful skills to strengthen their steps on their own career paths.
