Front End Developer

B. Tribe Purpose:

The Technology Tribe works to support the business by developing solutions required for the business. The tribe is to advice and design solutions based on requirements and feasibilities of various chapters and tribes, developing such solutions based on the architecture drawn while ensuring quality assurance throughout the development and execution of solutions. The Technology tribe is required to be equipped with forefront programming skills to provide innovative design and advice on improvements to meet business needs.

C. Role Description:

The Junior Front End Developer will be responsible for assisting in the design, development and execution of web and mobile products. The role will be working closely with tribe members to understand and analyse system requirements gathered from mainly the customer journey tribe and documenting the business requirements for the development of program. The role is also heavily involved in maintaining websites and preparing documentation for future reference, helping to bring Techcombank’s digital platform to live. The role will also work with other squad members in driving Techcombank’s digital agenda

D. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Programming
  • Write and implement efficient and structured codes and develop quality assurance procedures around it
  • Maintain and constantly improve website developed while optimizing application for smooth application usage
  • Collaborate with back end developers and UI/UX designers to improve usability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Build and document reusable codes and libraries for future use

        2. Documentation​

  • Work closely with tribe and squad members to translate business requirements into design documents
  • Prepare functional requirement documents by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and guides for the program

KEY SKILLS

1Domain Expertise:

  • Basic knowledge on programming of at least two of the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
  • Experience working with common JavaScript frameworks and libraries (i.e. React, AngularJS, Vue, jQuery)
  • Experience with UI/UX design and implementation leveraging tools such as Bootstrap or ZURB Foundation
  • Experience working in a source-controlled environment, such as Git or TFVC
  • Basic understanding of API design and implementation

2. Agile/Digital Experience:

  • Has a strong understanding of Agile methodology and practices
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment, which includes discussions around creative reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to and from fellow team members and clients
